Volunteer Opportunities

Harton Regional Medical Center Volunteers

Harton Regional Medical Center Volunteers are men, women, and students. They are people from all backgrounds, interests, and experiences who have come together as part of our volunteer team. Through their presence, volunteers offer a special touch and help enhance the quality of care we provide to our patients, their families, and our community.   The Harton Hospital Auxiliary is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to serve our patients, employees, physicians, and the community through offering a variety of services at Harton Regional Medical Center. Volunteers offer their skill, smiles, and time to make a difference in people's lives.   Volunteering at Harton Regional Medical Center is a wonderful way to give back to your community. Most people volunteer to be helpful to others but find the experience to be rewarding and inspirational to themselves. Volunteers have an opportunity to work in a variety of areas within out facility.

Volunteers choose to work in some of the following capacities:

  • Gift Shop
  • Patient Representative Program
  • Hostess Program

The Gift Shop and Information Desk, located at the front entrance of the facility, offers a variety of gifts, flowers, cards, candy, and snacks.  ALL profits are returned to the community via contributions to local charities and healthcare scholarships to local students.   Patient Representatives make visits to each patient the first and third day after admission. During these visits, they address patient comfort and overall satisfaction.

We invite you to become a part of our volunteer program and begin making a difference at Harton Regional Medical Center. If you are interested in becoming a Harton Regional Medical Center Volunteer, please contact the Human Resources Department, (931)455-3116.
